My Darling, My Deer

I have been thrifting my entire life, amassing a great collection of treasures. Even so, this recent move has meant doubling the space I have to work with, and right now, most of the house is pretty bare! I’m slowly building on it, but I am also finding that I am getting more picky with what I want to display in my personal collections. It’s good and bad. The definite good side is that when I find a piece that really fits in with my house, it’s a true thrill.
I was having an awful day when I turned the corner at the thrift store and spotted these two. I could not believe my luck.

They fit in perfectly in their new home in the dining room, which the clouds are keeping dark. It's a dreadfully gloomy day, which not only means a total lack of natural light, but it makes it a battle to resist curling up with a book and a cup of warmness. Resist, I shall!

  2. I found the exact same set at Goodwill last week for 99 cents! I love them and plan to incorporate them into my Christmas décor.
